Privacy Notice

This notice explains how we handle personal data collected through intektaeng.com, its contact form and our email correspondence. It is issued under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we process

• Contact form and email: name, company, email address, phone number, the product or service you are interested in and the content of your message, including any personal details in drawings or specifications you send.
• Technical data: server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and service delivery (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit).

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Answering your enquiry, preparing quotations and pre-contract discussions: necessary for entering into or performing a contract (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Managing the business relationship, invoicing and record keeping: legal obligation (KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç); GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
• Website security, abuse prevention and cookieless, aggregate visitor statistics: legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Transfer of data to service providers outside Turkey: your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 9).

4. Recipients and international transfers

• Formspree, Inc. (USA): delivery of contact form messages.
• Google LLC / Google Workspace: email.
• Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, security and cookieless visitor statistics.
• Suppliers and subcontractors, where needed to carry out a project and after informing you.
• Public authorities, where required by law.

These providers may process data outside Turkey and the EU. Transfers from the EU rely on the providers' safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. If you prefer not to consent to the transfer, you can reach us by phone.

5. Retention

Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for up to 2 years after the last correspondence. Where a business relationship is formed, records are kept for the periods required by Turkish commercial and tax law (generally 10 years) and then deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you are in the EU, with your local data protection authority.
